AP41 Access Point

The Juniper AP41 works in conjunction with the Juniper Mist cloud architecture to collect and analyze metadata in near real-time from all wireless clients. This enables rapid problem detection and root cause identification with predictive recommendations and proactive correction, helping businesses realize a Self-Driving networkTM.

In addition, the AP41 has a dynamic vBLE 16-element antenna array for the industry’s most accurate and scalable location services, including Juniper User Engagement, Asset Visibility, and Contact Tracing. These location services operate without the need for battery-powered BLE beacons and manual calibration. With integrated IoT sensors and an interface port that can control analog/digital devices, the AP41 also enables advanced location-based use cases, such as door locking and camera control.

Features + Benefits

The AP41 are tri-radio 4x4 access points that support maximum data rates of 1730 Mbps in the 5GHz band and 800 Mbps in the 2.4GHz band.

The third radio functions as a network, location, and security sensor as well as a spectrum monitor.

The AP41 has a 16-element virtual Bluetooth®LE (vBLE) antenna array that you can control from the Juniper Mist cloud architecture via BLE cloud services.

This enables use cases like asset location, wayfinding, proximity messaging, and various contract tracing/social distancing use cases without the need for additional hardware (e.g. battery-powered beacons). Passive antennas enhance the power of a single transmitter and produce directional beams to accurately detect distance and location with accuracy of 1 - 3 meters.

A dedicated dual-band third radio collects data for our patent-pending Proactive Analytics and Correlation Engine (PACE).

The AP41 leverages machine learning to analyze user experience, correlate problems and automatically detect the root cause of problems.

The Juniper Mist platform automatically captures packets and streams them to the cloud when major issues are detected.

This capability saves IT time and effort and eliminates the need for truck rolls with sniffers to reproduce and capture data for troubleshooting.

The AP41 automatically connects to the Juniper Mist cloud architecture, downloads its configuration, and joins the appropriate network.

Firmware updates are retrieved and installed automatically, ensuring that the network is always up to date with new features, bug fixes, and security updates.

Juniper Mist Wi-Fi Assurance, User Engagement, and Asset Visibility services include a base analytics capability for analyzing up to 30 days of data, simplifying the process of extracting network insights across your enterprise that you can use to properly align your support resources or introduce premium services.

You can also subscribe to our Premium Analytics service to enable these advanced capabilities: further extend network insights and perform analytics for up to a one-year data set; enable custom reporting; and infuse telemetry from third-party data elements.

CUSTOMER SUCCESS

Gap Inc. Transforms In-Store Wi-Fi Experience with AI-Driven Networking

Doris and Don Fisher opened the first Gap store in 1969 with a simple idea—to make it easier to find a pair of jeans and a commitment to do more. Over the last 50+ years, the company has grown from a single store to a global fashion business.

While Gap, Inc. transformed their business, technology transformed the way shoppers interact with their favorite brands. A multichannel experience is the new normal, and e-commerce sales continue to grow rapidly in comparison to in-store sales. Consumers don’t simply want to shop for products; they want to seek out a more engaging experience. To give customers and retail associates the best experience with in-store Wi-Fi, Gap Inc. found AI-driven networking to be a perfect fit.
